What This Page Covers
When you visit ixionmake.com, we use several tracking methods to make things work properly and to understand how people interact with our educational content. This page explains what we track, why we do it, and how you can control these technologies.
We're based in Montenegro and serve students interested in 2D graphics for mobile games. We've kept this policy straightforward because we believe transparency builds trust.
How Tracking Technologies Work
When you browse our site, small text files get stored on your device. These help us remember your preferences, keep you logged into your student portal, and understand which course pages get the most attention.
Some tracking happens through pixels and scripts rather than traditional files. For instance, when you watch a tutorial video, we might track whether you completed it. This helps us figure out which teaching methods work best.
Most tracking technologies expire after your session ends, but some stick around longer to remember your language choice or course progress.
Types of Tracking We Use
Essential Functionality
These make the site work. Without them, you couldn't log into your student dashboard, submit assignments, or navigate between pages properly. We can't turn these off because the site would break.
- Session authentication for student portal access
- Form submission tokens for project uploads
- Security features that prevent unauthorized access
- Basic site navigation and page functionality
Performance Monitoring
These help us understand how fast pages load and where technical issues occur. If our portfolio gallery loads slowly for mobile users, this tracking tells us so we can fix it.
- Page load speed measurement
- Error tracking and bug reporting
- Device and browser compatibility testing
- Video playback performance for tutorials
Usage Analytics
We track which courses get the most interest and where people spend time. This data guides our curriculum development. For example, when we noticed heavy traffic on sprite animation tutorials in early 2025, we expanded that section.
- Course page views and time spent
- Tutorial completion rates
- Popular search terms within our content
- Student project gallery engagement
Preference Storage
These remember your choices so you don't have to reset them each visit. Your preferred tutorial playback speed, bookmarked lessons, and interface customization all get stored this way.
- Language and interface preferences
- Saved course bookmarks and progress
- Video quality settings
- Dark mode or display customization
Data Retention Periods
Different tracking technologies stick around for different lengths of time. Here's what we keep and for how long:
Technology Type | Duration | Purpose |
---|---|---|
Session Authentication | Until browser closes | Keeps you logged into student portal |
Course Progress | 12 months | Remembers completed lessons and achievements |
Preference Settings | 24 months | Stores interface choices and customization |
Analytics Data | 14 months | Tracks aggregated usage patterns |
Performance Metrics | 90 days | Monitors site speed and technical issues |
Third-Party Services
We use a few external services that place their own tracking technologies. Our video hosting platform tracks playback statistics. Analytics tools from Google help us understand visitor behavior patterns.
These third parties have their own privacy policies. We've chosen services that respect user privacy, but you should know they operate independently from us.
When you click "Decline All Tracking" above, we signal these services to stop non-essential tracking. However, some basic functionality tracking may still occur to make embedded content work properly.
Managing Your Tracking Preferences
The button at the top of this page lets you reject all non-essential tracking with one click. We'll save your preference and stop gathering analytics and performance data.
You can also control tracking through your browser settings. Most modern browsers let you block all files, delete existing ones, or get notified before any new ones are set.
Here are direct links to privacy controls for common browsers:
Impact on Your Experience
Blocking all tracking won't break the site, but some features might not work as smoothly. You'll still be able to browse courses and view our student project gallery. However, we won't remember your progress between visits or save your interface preferences.
Essential functionality tracking continues regardless of your choice because it's required for basic operations. This includes security features and session management for enrolled students.
If you're enrolled in our autumn 2025 program, you'll need to allow essential tracking to access course materials and submit assignments through the student portal.
Updates and Changes
We update this policy when we add new features or change how we handle data. The last revision happened in January 2025 when we improved our video hosting infrastructure.
Significant changes get announced through our student newsletter and posted on the homepage. We don't make major tracking changes without giving you notice and control options.
